Benchmark Cobalt drill bits are constructed with premium M35 steel with 5% cobalt and ground from solid steel for maximum performance. Unique 3 cutting edges provide superior performance versus 135 degree split point. The third flute distributes cutting work more evenly and decreases pressure on each cutting edge. Cobalt bits are able to cut through the most hardened metals, including bronze, cast iron and stainless steel.
