KingChain® vinyl-coated galvanized aircraft cables are used for many material handling applications and have typical home uses for garage door cables, winch lines, tie-downs, dog runs, hanging signs, and guy wires for flagpoles. Not intended for aircraft use. The cable is hot-dipped galvanized for long lasting durability and moderate corrosion resistance. The 7 x 7 construction consists of 7 individual wires laid in a spiral around a center "King" wire to form a strand. 7 strands are then wound together to form a cable. The cable is then coated in a clear sheath of vinyl for added weather resistance. Remove sections of the vinyl coating when using cable accessories, like sleeves, clips or thimbles. The steel cable must be in contact with the accessory to ensure a secure grip. This construction provides good strength, good flexibility and good abrasion resistance. Safe Work Load (SWL) of 184 lb (83 kg). Never exceed the Safe Work Load (SWL). **NOTE** Do not use for overhead lifting.
