Benchmark Cobalt drill bits are constructed with premium M35 steel with 5% cobalt and ground from solid steel for maximum performance. Unique 3 cutting edges provide superior performance versus 135 degree split point. The third flute distributes cutting work more evenly and decreases pressure on each cutting edge (sizes 1/8” to 1/4"). Cobalt bits are able to cut through the most hardened metals, including bronze, cast iron and stainless steel.
