Keep the light shining with efficient fluorescent bulbs in your fluorescent lamps and light fixtures. Fluorescent light bulbs distribute more light while using less electricity than incandescent bulbs. Lower electricity consumption means lower electricity bills. Fluorescent light bulbs are available in tube form to fit overhead fixtures as well as in bulbs to fit compact fluorescent lamps (CFLs). Both types of bulbs have two parts: a gas-filled tube and an electronic ballast.
The tubes come in different diameters, most commonly T12, T8 or T5. These are the bulbs that you see in offices, schools, retail stores and more. They're also useful in garages, workshops, bathrooms and kitchens. Need focused lighting? Try a circline lamp, these take circular fluorescent tube bulbs. They take circular fluorescent tube bulbs. Along with tubes, you’ll find regular bulbs as well. CFL fluorescent bulbs will fit most incandescent light fixtures but use a lot less energy and last a lot longer than traditional bulbs.
