It's a good idea to put outdoor lights over your front door and garage doors. You can operate these with a switch in an accessible location. Or you can install motion sensor lights which light only when someone approaches. Most homes have existing outdoor lights so replacing them with new models is easy. Weatherproof shades make sense so that electrical connections do not get wet. For added safety, you can also add battery-operated path lights to your driveway.
